About Katherine

Katherine is the founder of Words & Wellbeing and is an internationally  qualified meditation teacher with a Certificate in Meditation Teaching and Holistic Human Development from the Inner Voyage College.   She is an executive member of the International Institute for Complimentary Therapists and the International Meditation Teacher’s Association.  Katherine is also an experienced author with a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Technology Sydney.

“Whilst I would like to believe that I am the ‘founder’ of Words & Wellbeing, in truth, Words & Wellbeing found me. The business was a natural evolution that grew out of my love for the written word and my unwavering belief in the benefits of practical meditation.

Helping others brings me joy. When somebody ‘gets it,’ when something ‘twigs’ for someone, or when a client experiences a seismic shift in their way of thinking, or how they express themselves on the written page, that’s a WOW moment in my life and the immediate gratification for doing what I do.

Writing classes are engaging, interactive and most importantly FUN! The basic elements of the craft of narrative writing are an integral part of the learning experience – however, really I work with ‘energy’ – yours, mine, and ours! Writing workshops can spontaneously erupt into meditation sessions and meditation classes incorporate both the spoken and written word, in order to empower clients to make better decisions and lead more joyous lives. My role is to help you discover the meditation style that best works for you and classes are not affiliated with any particular religion or cultural background.”
